Hi everyone! I haven't posted in so long!  My one of my best friends vaeh turned eleven a few weeks ago and I was so happy for her! So this is a shoutout to vaeh who is the caringist most amazingist and awesomist friend ever!

WINTER SPORTS

Hi, on Thursday we did Winter Sports and I played basketball 🏀. It was so cool and I had an amazing team! I'll definitely play it again for winter sports if we do it at intermediate, bye!

I've got netball at 11 today and I actually know that we are going to win! My team rocks and we have an awesome coach! We are playing glenbervie and they are easy Peazy lemon squeazy!

Marae Trip

A couple of weeks ago Pod 4 went on an overnight stay at Kaka Porowini Marae. The man that was our host was named Matu. He wasn't really related to anyone at the marae as he was an orphan when he was younger because his parents didn't want him or couldn't have him because he was half Maori and half Chinese and that was a huge No No back then. The cooks were exceptional except like the Spag Bol. There were lots of carvings covering the wall and each one of them told a story. We learnt about My Mihi and made a play about whales and how useful the were back in the olden days. Learning Kapa Haka was really fun with Whaea Dallas and her family and I still remember the song we learnt. Aroha, AROHAAAAAAAA. That's actually all I remember.

Hey guys!😊 It me Kiri! 2017 is the year now and I am a year 6 😮 Next year is intermediate! This year I am in the same class but I'm fine with that! My BFFs are Nevaeh, Ari, Renee and Aimee L oh and Katie. Keep reading my new posts because I'm sure there will be a lot this year!

Camp

CAMP

Camp has just flown past. First minute we are at camp and then suddenly we are back a school!!! 

Since we have 75 or is it 73? Anyway we have a lot of kids. Our class was split into separate groups. I was in the best team which was Seagulls. In my group I had Nevaeh, Nathan, Jay, Lucy, Laura, Mia, Brady, Jesse S, me (of course) And Charlie.
Seagulls first activity was Kayaking and I was real excited. When we had finally gotten into the estuary and begun to kayak I realised I was not as good as I thought I was! Instead, I kept getting pulled back to shore and at one point I was thinking about staying there and waiting for the others to come back and fetch me. After the not so great kayaking we were able to go on one of the best activities yet. Wait for it, wait for it... It was the water slide! Now some of the people in our group were a bit scared to go on it and that is totally fine but since I am a man I was the first girl to go on the slide. It was so cold and I felt like I would fly off! Eventually the scaredy cats had a go and guess what! They kept going on again and again and again! Finally it was night time and we got to play spotlight at 8.00 PM sharp! It was such a great time!
After spotlight we went to bed and my cabin were all giggling as quiet as possible. We gradually fell asleep and woke up at about 6.30 AM. After breakfast we all carried on with the activities. Since there were so many things to do I decided not to write about all of them.
